Back To School Shopping

Aloha friends!!  I know you don't want to hear it, but yes for many of us it is Back To School time!

I have been avoiding the Back To School isles, but today I had to bite the bullet and go shopping for my daughters' school supplies.  I have one in 8th grade and another in 6th grade.  The schools provide grade level lists for all items that are needed.

So I headed to Walmart, which I knew would have everything I needed at the best price.  I got up early and was there by 7 a.m.

No one was there yet!! Ahhh, Back to School shopping in peace.

Is there anything more lovely than fresh pens, pencils and paper?

Colored pens weren't on the list, but these somehow ended up in my cart.

Did you know that you can get Bonus Box Tops on certain Back To School items?

Apparently everyone else does, because they were all gone!

I found everything I needed and was able to cross everything off the lists!

So happy to be done and not stress about having to go shopping last minute or over the weekend!!
My advice to busy teachers and moms is to head out early and just get it done!! It will save you time later, especially if they run out of something, which is why I ended up at so many different stores last year.
Now that's done I can concentrate on setting up my classroom and getting ready for my kiddos to return next Wednesday!  Wish me luck!

  1. Walmart is where I usually head for back-to-school stuff, too. I haven't purchased the items for my children yet. We don't head back until the end of August. I have, however, purchased all kinds of things for my classroom. Have a wonderful first week back!

  2. Hi Corrina...yes, it's time to make the mindshift. The writing needs to come to a stop so I can get my thoughts and energy fixed on what comes first. I'm actually ready for the change. Looking forward to my 30+ hugs a day. Best wishes to a great school year. I'll hear the waves when I think of you. :-)
