Easy and Cute Craft Ideas for Christmas

Aloha everyone!  It's officially here...

December 1st is Monday and the Countdown Begins!  Our school has a Winter Program so the students will be getting ready for that along with lots of other Christmas activities I have planned.

I am going to make an Advent Calendar for my students.  I found this cute idea at MessForLess.com.
Make a festive jar and write on popsicle sticks.  I am going to add fun ideas that we can do in the class each day like Brain Breaks, Class Picks for a Story, Extra 5 minutes at recess, Class Game, Drawing Time, Dance Party.  Anything fun that will only take a few minutes at the end of the day.

We will also be making paper stockings like we do every year, but will be adding a twist.

I was so inspired by Art With Jenny K's Pop Art activities.

I am going to have my students decorate their stockings using this Pop Art technique!  I can't wait to see how they turn out!

We will also be Elfing ourselves.

These always come out so cute!  I laminate them and they make adorable ornaments.

Now the hard part is deciding what I want my students to make for their parents for Christmas!  I jumped on to Google and found some cute ideas.

Handprint Calendar from The Sharpened Pencil

ModgePodge Pictures From PositivelySplendid.com

This fingerprint light picture frame is just adorable, but I couldn't find a link!

This Cute Crayon Picture Frame from Mrs. Terhune's First Grade

These adorable ornaments from Tonya's Treats For Teachers

Love these precious Hand Print Jars from All Kids Crafts

Reindeer Ornaments from Mom vs The Boys

A cute twist on Popsicle Stick Frames from eighteen25

I love these simple and cute ornaments from A Teeny Tiny Teacher

Maybe I can add a tropical feel by adding sand and shells in with the their pictures.

I have 1 week to decide what to do.  So many choices!! I think it will all depend on what I find at the local craft store and how much it will cost for 21 kiddos!

What do you do each year for Christmas gifts? I am always looking for new ideas!

  1. Thanks for the shout out to my handprint calendars! They've always been my favorite gift for students to make. But, I love all the ideas you shared! I've always done handprint snowmen on a blue ornament, but I really like the reindeer version. I also LOVE the popsicle stick frames! So many good ideas. I wish I could make them all!! :)
