December Currently

Aloha everyone!  Are you ready for December?!  I really am hoping that I have all my ducks in order because the next 3 weeks are going to be a whirlwind of activity!

I am linking up with Farley today for her fantabulous Currently.

I woke up this morning to rain and wind.  This is our winter weather.  It is just pouring outside, but of course that never seems to stop people from surfing.  The Triple Crown contest is streaming live right now and I am watching my favorite surfers instead of getting in the water today. The contest is actually just a few miles from my house, but I get a much better view from my computer.

The rainy weather makes for a messy, muddy yard.  I would love to have a mud room, but all we have is a porch for muddy shoes and feet.

So I am going to have to clean and scrub instead of just laying on the couch like I'd like to.

Our favorite tradition here is going downtown to Honolulu and checking out the lights and Christmas tree that are all decorated.  We always stop for hot chocolate, even though it's not usually cold, and just enjoy being downtown.

Okay, I told myself I had to get off the computer and get some housework done!  Go link up and share out!

  1. Christmas in Hawaii... you're so lucky! My husband and I visited Honolulu a few years ago - so beautiful! I'm jealous of the thunderstorm... I'm looking at a winter wonderland! :) Happy December!

  4. Corinna,
I just saw catching fire at the movies yesterday with my children. It was so good and follows along nicely with the book.
Wanting to ask you....I saw that you stored your center games in large manilla envelopes in one of the pictures you had posted. How do you affix the title page to the envelope. It looked as though it were laminated right to it.
    Love your new design!!

    1. Thank you Karen! I do store my center games in Manilla Envelopes. I actually use packing tape to tape them on! I glue on the cover and then tape over it to keep them sturdy.

    2. Thanks Corinna. It's a great idea. I now store them in ziploc bags but they don't all fit in really well. Will have to try the envelopes.
      Thanks so much.

    4. The only thing I think I am going to pick up for the classroom is this pack from LittleRed. I need some better non-fiction passages. http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Christmas-Reading-Passages-with-Comprehension-Questions-999150
