Monday Made It

Aloha friends!  Monday July 8th!! Eeek, I can't believe it!  I am starting to get myself in gear for heading back to my classroom.  I honestly have not done anything for my class this summer.  I have been revamping products in my TpT store and taking a class.

I have so much to do still!  Well one  thing that I can cross off my list is my lesson planner.  I have been working on this a little bit here and there for about a month.

My absolute favorite color this summer is mint!  My toes are painted mint, I just bought a new cap for the beach in this color and I have shorts, shirts, scarves and jewelry all this yummy color.  So of course I had an idea already for what I wanted my planner to look like.

Now it is definitely not fancy.  This is tailor made just for me:))

I created this whole thing in Powerpoint on my computer.  I also created a lot of the clipart and really wanted to put it to use.

I was so excited to discover my printer makes two sided copies, but you can see the second side got cut off on every page!! Oh well, it's just me looking at it.

I always forget what standards are supposed to be taught each quarter for science and social studies, so I added these in.

I put in the times of my basic blocks and put the dates for each week.

Now I love mint, but I love all the other papers that I created too, so I decided to color code.  I made each quarter a different color.

I wanted to also include a gradebook.  I kind of got tired of the chevron so I used this pretty pack of Fancy Quatrefoil from Sonya DeHart that I had picked up awhile ago.

My grade book is color coded too.  I kept the same colors for each quarter, except the first. I just love that color!

Finally I added a calendar.  Last year I was always lugging around my planner, which was in a binder, and a separate calendar.  Now I have everything in one place.

I love those bright flowers.  I created them in Photoshop and I just had to use them.  That's why I chose gray for the calendar:)

That's it. Pretty basic, but really that's all I ever use each year.

I took it to Office Max to get it bound.  They charged me $3.50.  Not bad and I will smile every time I look at it.

If you are interested in creating your own, it is available in my TpT store.

Okay I am off to check out everyone's great craftiness!

  5. I love this! I was thinking about creating my own planner this year but honestly I was a little unsure about how to get started. If you don't mind me asking, what program did you use other than Photoshop? I don't have Photoshop so I would have to use something else. Honestly, I think for this coming year, I'll use yours since you were so generous in offering it for free and then maybe I'll make my own next school year! I really should get on the Monday-Made-It bandwagon! ;-)

  6. Beautiful! I love that you made it to meet your needs. This is what keeps me on the fence about the Erin Condren planner...it isn't very custom. :) Fun to find you through the linky!

  14. Is there a version where you can type your own things into it? I teach fifth grade all subjects! I love the standards you need to teach each quarter...however I have no idea how to type into it. It downloads as a pdf. Help! We start school on Wednesday! So I need to print and make tomorrow during our work day!
