Workin' It Wednesday

Aloha friends! So glad you stopped by for another addition of Workin' It Wednesday.

I have a feeling most of us that have been on vacation for a few weeks are settling into a relaxed vacation mode.  I am no longer waking up at 5a.m., but now rolling out of bed around 6 a.m.!  I grab my coffee and head to my computer.

Add reading blog posts and this is pretty much true!

I mentioned last post that my sister and her kids are here visiting for a few weeks.  They live in Phoenix and I don't see them that often.  I have been taking them around the island to enjoy some of our favorite spots.

This is my niece, nephew and my sister in Waikiki enjoying a gorgeous day.

My sister and I are very close even though we only see each other once or twice a year.  In our twenties we lived together and we practically finished each others sentences.  She is one of those naturally gorgeous girls that when we would walk down the street, men would literally fall off sidewalks or walk into poles while staring at her!

I used to really struggle with my weight and she was thin as a rail!  I was so jealous of how she never watched what she ate and I had to work out all the time just to keep a decent weight. She used to complain about walking up a flight of stairs!

Now that we are older we are both active, but now she is the one really working out, watching what she eats and looking fabulous!!  She is in training for this event:

I am amazed that she is committing to this event.  She is not getting hugely buff, but entering one of the many fitness categories.  Well she has been giving me workout tips and has been making me do more than just jogging and surfing.

Today we hit the bike path and ran/walked down to the beach. She put me to work.

It's hard running in the sand, but it really works those glutes!

Check out those guns, lol!

Balance is very important for surfing.
I wonder if I could do this on my surfboard?

We found a less sandy spot along the bike path to continue our workout.

I never workout this hard!

I was exhausted, but it was great to have someone to workout with and enjoy the gorgeous morning!

I was content with just that workout, but she wants to make me do this again tomorrow!!??
Hmm, we'll see how my legs feel about it!

I would love to hear how you have been Workin' It this week.  Link up your blog post or on Instagram #workinitwednesday.
