Five For Friday

Aloha Friday!! It just isn't as exciting that it's Friday when you are on vacation!  I am happy to be keeping busy.  I haven't had a dull moment since my vacation began.

These cute little numbers were a freebie from MadMad Graphics on Etsy!
Check out this FB page for some great freebie clipart :)

I have been changing up my workouts with some running, surfing and dancing.  My daughters have a Wii and the Just Dance program has a section called Just Sweat.  It's pretty fun!  I did the Cheerleader's Bootcamp.  I really did work up a sweat and then competed with my youngest daughter to practice all my killer dance moves!

I received an email from a customer who asked me where I got my floral papers that I had used in a few of my projects.  I had created them last summer and I didn't think to place them in my store.   They are there now!

When we first bought our house about 7 years ago I decorated my daughter's room in a Surf theme.  I bet your really surprised huh!?  It was so cute and I had tons of fun painting this mural.  Well my daughter asked to redecorate with an Indian design.  Ever since her May Day routine she is into all things Indian/Bollywood.

We went to Ross and found all kinds of fun bedding-Comforter, curtains, shiny pillows and gold satin sheets.  We decided we would paint over the mural and create a new one.  She wanted to have an elephant as the central focus.

We googled some murals for inspiration.

We painted over the old mural...

We sketched it out and painted a big, purple elephant.  I took this picture with the iPad so you can't see that the gold paint is metallic and shiny.

It's definitely a project that will take some time.  We have some fun, blingy jewels and lots of gold paint. We are going to paint some flowers as well, but we haven't really figured out what else we will add.  Most likely fabric around edges of the wall.  We are having lots of fun just playing around and spending time together.

I have been taking tons of other pictures and posting them on Instagram.  I am having so much fun with it.  I love getting a glimpse of how others spend their time, especially now that it is summer.

How has your week been?  Are you on vacation yet? Link up with Kacey and share out your weekly pics!
