Today I decided to do a fun little craft to keep them busy. These little Surf Buddies were just the thing to keep them busy all morning.
We discussed what everyone had planned for the summer and then I let them loose to create their own Surfer Dude or Dudette!!
How cute are these!! I plan to use these again at the beginning of the year, but with their names on them. I think I'm going with a surf theme....original huh!!
These were so fun to make!! If you want the templates just click on the picture above to download from my TpT store.
Have fun!!
Oh, so cute! Great activity for the end of the year....especially those of us who would LOVE to be in Hawaii! :)

Thank you Rachel!!
DeleteThose are cute! But my kids wouldn't know how to surf or even where to surf around here! I don't think the waves on Lake Michigan are big enough for surfing. . . However, this teacher could certainly "DREAM" of coming to Hawaii to surf!!!
ReplyDeleteVery cute idea!

Second In Line
I don't think that's true Patty, I know there are surfers in Sheboygan!! They wait for heavy storms and you guys get waves out there!! But surfing in Hawaii is much more fun;)
DeleteLove it! We love our surfing in CA, too. Surfs up, Dude! Let's ride some killer waves!

Deleteomgosh - I LOVE this!!
ReplyDeleteBut as sad as it is - probably only 2% of my class will go to the beach this summer - how HORRIBLE is that?? And we live right next to it!!!
But I'm still totally keeping this because it's totally cute and so ME! :)
That is sad:( My kids are surf nuts, it's all some of them talk or write about:) That includes me too!
DeleteYour surfer kids are just adorable!! Makes a great display of their writing!

Very cute....although I don't think one of my kids has ever surfed ! But we do live steps from the majestic Grand River connected to the Great Lakes :) Looks like a fun activity that my kids would love. 5 days left ....I wish. We go right until June 28th ! Happy Weekend ( along weekend for us in Canada, hurray !!)
ReplyDeleteThank you, and enjoy the long weekend!!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable! I can't wait to do these with my kiddos!
ReplyDeleteOur school does a reading theme each year that I incorporate into my class room. This year was "race in to reading" and had, as you can guess, a race car theme. Next year will be "catch the reading wave." I will get to use this activity this year as a fun way to end the year and next year as a fun way to start it! :) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGreat! I hope they turn out super cute!!
DeleteThis is super cute- love it!
ReplyDeleteI had so much fun doing this with my kids. I posted some pictures. Thanks again, Corinna!
