Lorax Lovers

What a fun day we had celebrating our beloved Dr. Seuss!  The kids were so excited about the new Lorax movie coming out, that we focused mainly on this book.  Thank you to Mel D. from Suesstastic for her wonderful ideas and freebies which the kids loved.  Thank you also to Rachel from Sub Hub for her great Lorax mustaches.  The kids all left wearing these home today.
We tied our lesson into conserving our local environment here in Hawaii and the kids wrote some great ideas.

We also graphed our favorite books and the kids did an amazing job with their creativity and illustrations.

We were thankful for our Army partners from nearby Schofield Barracks for coming and reading Dr. Seuss to each class in our school. Then they donated all of the books that they brought to our school library! Mahalo to our great service men and women.
My class thoroughly enjoyed the day and I am exhausted, but thankful for all the wonderful inspiration I was given from the amazing teachers out there!!

  4. Just found your blog and I'm your newest follower!

I was in O'ahu the last week of January and the first bit of February and fell in love with it!

I've been keeping up with the news over there and see that there are flood warnings. Not sure where you are at, but I'm hoping you are safe!

    1. Thank you so much. It has been very rainy, but not too bad where I live. I think the other islands are getting pretty heavy rain.

I'm so glad you were able to visit and enjoy the island. It truly is such a unique and beautiful place to live. I'm very fortunate:)

      Much Mahalo,
      Corinna
