Digital Planning

Aloha friends!  March is upon us and Spring Break is right around the corner! Then only 1 quarter left!! This year has flown by and there has been a lot going on in my school.

We have a new administrator and she is very tech savvy and moving our school along the tech path.    Our little country school by the beach is cute, but not high tech.

This year our principal has really focused on making us a 1:1 school.  All students in my class now have a Chromebook and all of our data and info is online in Google Docs.

I decided it was time for me to catch up and begin creating my lesson planners in a digital version.

My Blushing Pink Planner is one of my most popular planners and is now available in a digital version.  Simply open it up in Google drive and add your own text, tables, charts or graphics.

You can access your plans, data and calendar from any digital device through Google.
If you have purchased one of my planners in the past it is essentially the same format.  It includes:

Cover Slides
Organizing Pages
Planner Pages
Grade Book
Calendar Pages
Blank Templates For Your Own Creations

The file comes with 104 different slides. You can delete any you don't need or create a new page with the templates I have provided. There are 18 different planner pages to choose from along with two background choices.
Now all of your plans and info are online, easy to share with admin and colleagues and looks stylish and fun!

Are you ready to go to paperless planning?  Head over to my TpT shop to check out this planner. I will be rolling out all of my planners in digital form soon, so keep checking back for your favorite design.

Flamingo Love Lesson Planner

Aloha friends!  Are you on summer break yet?

I've been on break now for a few weeks and I am catching up on some much needed sleep and relaxation!

I have also been able to catch up on some much needed work for TpT.  I am a little shocked at how many teachers contacted me to see if I had updated my teacher planners for next year!

Lol, I have to admit I have been a slacker with the end of the year activities and I really just wanted to veg in front of the TV!!

But all joking aside I have updated ALL of my planners and they are ready to roll for the 2017-18 school year.

Not only did I update them all, I was inspired to create a brand new planner!

I call it Flamingo Love!

The hardest part about designing planners is choosing the right graphics and deciding which covers you like best.  There were so many options I just included them all!
Most backgrounds include either the double or single flamingos.

You can add your name, date, school name or  whatever you would like.

I also included a variety of planning pages to choose from.
I really love the colors of the grade book and the calendar is just fun and pretty!

You can grab this planner in my TpT shop or just put it on your wish list for Back To School time.

I was so inspired that I have a Pineapple and an Aloha themed planner in the works!

If you have purchased a planner from me previously then you can download the update for free.
Just a heads up, I plan on raising the price of all of my planners in July.

Hopefully you are relaxing and enjoying your break or getting ready to!  Mahalo for stopping by and I look forward to sharing more fun this summer!

Back In The Class

Aloha friends!  I am back to work and have officially been back for two whole weeks!  I'm not going to lie that first week back was tough! 5 full days of instruction without any specials and 7 year olds just coming back from summer.  I was thoroughly exhausted by the end of that first week!!

After a much needed weekend of doing absolutely nothing I headed into the second week refreshed. This week was much smoother and it actually seemed to fly by.  Here's a look at what we have been doing.

We created our Surf Buddies and they came out so cute!  You can grab this Freebie HERE.

We started learning about Timelines and created a fun Birthday Timeline along with this graphing activity.

We read the story "Have You Filled A Bucket Today" and created our bucket filler chart.

We also read the following books which I love for Back To School.

We ended this week with a fun art project.

This project was a lot of fun to make.  It came from HERE. My class really enjoyed learning some facts about the first Olympic games and sharing their favorite events.

I started this week with a clean desk and I am really hoping I can keep it this way for just a little while.  We'll see how long it lasts!!

Did you notice my new lesson planner?  I absolutely love it!

I think it suits me very well.  I just need to look at it to transport me to the beach in those stressful times!

I have to say I was so busy that I didn't even think to take pictures of my classroom setup.  This week I will get it all together and share with you next week.

I hope you all had a fantastic week whether you were in the classroom or still on vacation!

Back To School Freebie

Aloha my long lost friends!! I hope all of you are enjoying your summer.  I have enjoyed every single bit of mine!!

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I have not been my usual blogging, crafty self.  I have been having tons of fun hanging with friends, going to the beach and eating out!!  I may have gained a few pounds, but it was so worth it.

This week I realized I only have one week before I officially have to begin school!! (Insert sad face here)

I'm a bit behind on the classroom set up, but I'm not too worried.  I start off the year with the same set up and change it as necessary once I meet my kiddos.

This coming week I am also going to be busy getting my back to school gifts ready for my teammates.  Each year I give everyone on my second grade team a personalized planner.

They are always appreciative and I really enjoy making them.  I have created some new designs this summer including an Ocean theme and a Bee theme. I will blog more about those later this week.

Each year I love giving a freebie planner to my blog followers.  This year I am offering my Blushing Pink planner.

You can grab this free version by subscribing to my emailing list.  I plan to have a monthly newsletter that includes a freebie to all of my subscribers, along with other goodies from time to time.

Just sign up and you will receive an email with your planner freebie.

Hopefully this cute little freebie will help get you excited to head back into the classroom along with keeping you organized all year!

Mahalo for stopping by.  I am off to have a little more fun before I have to be "officially" back to work!

Personalized Lesson Planners

Aloha everyone!  The end of summer is approaching and many of us are back in school.  I know that many of you don't start until after Labor Day!  (Jealous!)

Recently I have been getting many questions and emails on my Personalized Lesson planners.  Most people want to know how to set it up, how to print it and where to get it bound.  I decided to put together a post today so that all that information is on one place.

All of my planners are editable in Powerpoint.  Here is a video explaining how to open your file and set it up how you want.

After I get my planner together.  I print it out on my home printer.  I have this HP PhotoSmart 6515 printer that I bought from Costco for about $80.

It has a feature that allows me to print double sided copies.

When I select print this is what I see.  I check Two-Sided.  The preview shows me that the page is not to scale.  So I select Paper Size-US Letter.

I click on US Letter Borderless.  This will scale it to fit the paper with no white lines around it.

Now the preview shows me that the entire page will be printed without the white border around it.

The paper I used is a heavier weight paper than just regular Xerox paper.  It is a 24lb inkjet paper.

I got a ream for pretty cheap at Costco and I have also ordered it on Amazon.com.

I print the whole thing and then I take the cover and the back and laminate them both.  I use my home laminator and trim the excess off.

I take it to Office Max and have it spiral bound.  It costs $3.

I love my new planner and have gotten tons of compliments on it from my co-workers.
I have lots of designs to choose from in my TpT shop.

Hopefully this post will help you with all of your planner needs.  Now you're set to create your personal planner to get you ready for a fantastic new year.

Tickled Pink

Aloha friends!  I am loving my summer break so far.  I can't say I'm sleeping in as my internal alarm is still waking me at 5:00 am, along with my cats!

I have been wanting to sit down and create a new planner for myself this year.  I wanted something new and fresh.  I saw lots of pink and gold on Etsy and it looked so fun, so I went with it.

I couldn't decide which cover I liked best, so I put them all in!

I included as many informational pages as I could think of,
but since it is editable you could add whatever you need!

The planning pages come in four different backgrounds and different styles.
Again you could easily add whatever you would like  to customize it.

A gradebook and calendar are also included. The file contains a powerpoint file to enable you to edit and also a PDF file if you just want to print out the pages as is.  I find that some of the editable pages are not as crisp and clear as the PDF file.

I couldn't wait to print it out to see how it looked and just decided to put it into a binder.

I just couldn't seem to get the right lighting for my camera, but you can see that the glitter prints really well! It looks much better in real life.

Even though I LOVE this one I am not sure I can commit yet.  I have created a similar style in Mint.  Here is a preview:

Just click on the picture to head over and check this one out!!
Both of these planners are available in my
TpT shop along with many other styles.
