Scribble Digital Papers

Aloha friends. Just a quick post to share some fun background papers that I just made.

I made some of these with black backgrounds for Halloween and then some fun red and green for my freebie Christmas pack.  I decided to make them in as many colors as I could and also two different size scribbles.

Pin It To Win It!

Aloha everyone!  How is your short week moving along?  Isn't it funny how short weeks seem even longer than a regular 5 day week?!!

I wanted to share some items that I have been working on.  I have not had any creative energies in the way of products for my classroom, but I have been enjoying creating some new digital frames and background papers.

Do you create products on TpT?  When I started creating I think I had just a few clip art items and some digital backgrounds that I had from digital scrapbooking.

I loved scrapbooking and I have always had a version of Photoshop Elements on my computer.  As I started to create more for TpT I experimented a lot with digital items and just started creating my own papers.

My first set that I created were my Peace Out Digital Papers.

They are one of my favorites and a freebie in my store.

I made them just for fun along with many other sets that I posted for free. People started telling me I needed to start selling them. So I did and was pleasantly surprised when people actually bought them!

Here are a few new sets that I have completed that may be helpful for your upcoming creations.

Lots of choices for Valentine's Day!

I love this set!  I had a request for these from my bloggy buddy Terri over at The First Grade Princess. 

I drew the snakes and characters and played around with a bunch of different designs.

This is a set with fun Wintery looking dots.  I played around with the effects

to make them look a bit glittery.

I love rainbows and bright colors which I see everyday.

This is my latest set.  I drew the chevron pattern and stripes and then filled them with different colors.

I love the cartoony look to them and I can't wait to create with these!!

What's New??

Election day came up quick with everything else going on.  All schools were closed today, so I got up early like always and hit the water:)  It was so gorgeous out there and I wished I had a camera attached to my board.  There was a perfect rainbow over my surf spot and I was thankful for the simple things in life that make me happy.

I am gearing up for November and December and I had a few things I wanted to share with you all.
In class I have set up my new Daily 5 Word Work centers for the month and I wanted to practice a few new skills.

I created some fun center activities to cover contractions, parts of speech and fact and opinion.

How cute are these graphics from Pink Cat Studio??  I loved them the minute I saw them and had to start creating:)

I also made a center to practice telling time.  My students are still having trouble with this skill.

This is just a simple matching game that has a worksheet at the end to reinforce this skill.

I also decided to finally make a set of behavior chart calendars to go along with my Surf's Up Clip Chart.

My kids love this clip chart and I had been using a freebie calendar that I downloaded from Lori over at Teaching With Love and Laughter.  I love the way it has worked in my class.

The students color in the date with the color they ended up on and take it home each day to have parents check it.  Parents initial it each night and know how their child's day was.  This has been an excellent way for me to communicate with parents, and students work extra hard to Surf Up:)

I started them for November 2012 and they go up to September 2013.  The blue column copies a light shade of gray when you xerox so the students don't color the weekend in.  We had a bit of trouble with this.

A nice follower of my blog and store asked me if I would create my Common Core Posters in a Zebra print.

I think they turned out really cute!

Finally I had a request to do my Chevron Papers in Christmas colors.

There are over 20 different designs to play around with and they are a freebie to get you in the Christmas spirit.  You can download these from my TpT store.  If you do I would love your feedback!!

Aloha Fall Sale

Aloha Friday everyone and Happy First Day of Fall! Can you believe it is already September 21st??  Does it feel like Fall where you live?? I grew up in Colorado and I really miss the Fall more than any other season. New jackets and warm sweaters, boots, scarves, hats:))  I am not complaining about Hawaii, but the weather here is still very warm and my most recent clothing purchase was a new bikini top for surfing:))

I am actually really excited for the Fall season because the surf starts to pick up here.  This weekend there are actually supposed to be waves, so I plan to be out in the ocean as much as possible!!  To celebrate the start of the Fall/Surf Season I am throwing a sale along with lots of other bloggers this weekend in my TpT store.  Every item will be 20% off.

Friday Freebie

Aloha Friday!! Thank you to everyone who entered my Giveaways!! I so appreciate you all stopping by and I would like to especially thank all of my bloggin' buddies who donated their products!! Big Mahalos to one and all!!

Last weekend I had a bit of time on my hands. I wasn't feeling well, so I stayed home and played on my computer and created some fun new items.

I was wanting to come up with some new digital papers and I taught myself how to make Chevron patterns.  Once I learned how to do it I decided to have some fun and created these.

I love all the colors and played around with the sizes of the stripes. You can pick these up in my TpT store for $1.50.  I will give this set to the first 3 people to leave me a comment about them:))

Freebies, Giveaway and Linky!

Aloha everyone! Can you believe it is the second week of July!! I start back to school on July 24th, it's sneaking up very quickly.  I have had a great week reading everyone's comments on my Giveaway Post. I really wish I could giveaway a trip to Hawaii to all of you, but my Virtual Tours are the best I can do, lol!

Today is just a quick reminder to anyone who hasn't entered my Giveaway, today is the last day.

July Already and Some Freebies

Aloha everyone! Can you believe it is July already!!  The weather is definitely getting warmer and my backyard looks like a jungle!!  We have a few fruit trees back there and they are fully loaded with goodies!

The avocado tree is just brimming and the papaya is almost ready too.  You can't tell from this pick but the avocado tree is giant. This is only one branch! We also have a coconut palm out there with so many coconuts I think I may just open up a roadside stand:) Summer is great for taking all of your fruits and sharing with neighbors.  The man around the corner has a huge mango tree and we always swap buckets of fruit.

This week is the 4th of July already and we will probably head to town for a big Firework show down in Waikiki.

I've been working on some fun things all summer and I realized I have not done any of my classroom items that I really should.  I have tons of centers to copy and laminate, I need to start designing my planning and grade book and I need to revamp some of my reading curriculum!!

The problem is I get on the computer and start reading other's blogs and suddenly 2 hours has gone by....I vow to get busy this week;)

I am at 255 followers right now and my FB fans have doubled in the last few weeks. So I am planning a fun Summer Giveaway which I will post tomorrow! So please make sure you come on by:)

I am updating and also linking with Farley for her July Currently. She has a great post today and I am totally jealous of her new washing machine and the fact that she may be getting a new jeep!!

So my mother-in-law really wants to have my 10 year old come and stay with her, but I think she is too young to fly to California all by herself!!  Anywho after a month of saying no, no, no, I have decided to let her go.  Grandma isn't getting any younger and I hate to be the naysayer all the time...but I still hate to see her traveling alone.  I just can't afford to go with her this summer:( What do you think?  I have some issues with my Mother-In-Law...
